The Requirements
The Problem
After a tender process we were shortlisted from 6 other companies and then awarded the project to deliver a comprehensive custom built website to merge two existing websites (and databases) into one. The client had in excess of 80,000 products to be merged combining two older e-commerce platforms into one modern solution.
Our client also wanted a clean, modern design with a traditional twist, in-keeping with the type of business.
The Solution
We designed and developed a custom solution that houses all the antiques and collectibles under one website, with a beautiful design that is fully mobile and tablet friendly and easy for customers and staff to use. It has simple customer account areas and an easy-to-use yet powerful stock management system for staff. We overcame the problem of data merging by creating a piece of software that seamlessly combined and then migrated the product data over to the new e-commerce solution.
Since the new website has gone live our client has reported a sharp increase in sales, growing progressively each month (to the point of doubling monthly sales) and the new back-end system is more efficient leading to better stock control and faster dispatch.
