GS Laundries are a London based commercial laundry and specialist cleaning company, providing their services to many corporate and Blue Chip clients, as well as offering pick-up and drop-off delivery services.
The Requirements
The Problem
GS Laundries had been struggling using an old and outdated laundry management system that wasn’t fit for purpose and through recommendation they came to us for a new solution. They had a clear idea as to what they wanted and how they wanted the system to work.
The current system was slow and wasn’t adaptable to their growing business needs and because of this it meant that many of the tasks that should be handled within the software had to be done in other programmes. For example using Microsoft Word documents for delivery notes and driver collections.
Because of these issues, GS Laundries were struggling to manage collections and drop-offs and had related problems in organising drivers.
The Solution
We built a web-based software solution that allowed them to track all their clients’ collections, drop-offs and drivers’ schedules and locations, and keep track of the financials with a custom accounting system also built into the software.
The operation is far more efficient now and there have been significant cost savings too as they no longer need to employ multiple staff members to manage different tasks as the software handles all processes now. This equates to cost savings of more than £50,000 per year.
